Red Kite Barn is fantastic! We had a wonderful long weekend getting away from it all - it really is a great place with everything you need for a retreat from busy lives. We parked our car on Friday afternoon & didn’t move the car until the morning we left. We made full use of the amazing facilities - well-equipped kitchen, comfy sofas, amazing big screen & projector, pool table, & luxury bedrooms & bathrooms - perfect for us with 2 adult children. The surrounding area is spectacularly beautiful. The host Anjana is helpful & speedy with her communications. We hope to be back in the not too distant future. Highly recommend.

Spent a blissful week hidden away here for my 40th birthday. Went for some wonderful hikes and cycles in the beautiful Elan Valley to return to soak in the luxurious bath and then snuggle down to enjoy the cinema screen in front of the wood burning stove. Kitchen well equipped if you fancy doing a bit of cooking, beds super comfy and night sky amazing. Looking forward to returning again, this time bringing the kids. Book you won’t regret it.

“We have had a lovely few days here and really enjoyed the solitude. The wildlife proximity was great, sheep at the doors, red kites above and a well-fed fox which ran past our window. On the first night we had a bat make an appearance inside the house, did a few fast loops and then disappeared. Our dog loved it - he sat at the window watching the world - but it would have helped if there was an enclosed area. Overall a lovely place which with a few more finishing touches would be even better.”

It’s clear that a great deal of thought, energy and passion has gone into creating this unique and special space. Whilst it has the benefits of feeling remote and peaceful, it’s really not far away from civilization if you need a fix! “Wonderful way to spend half-term. Very special barn so beautifully converted - a real treat. Projector & pool table a real hit with teenage sons & helped offset the lovely autumnal walks we dragged them on! Not overly impressed with the New Inn or Red Lion both of which, we walked to - don’t mind basic pubs with basic food but not terribly welcoming. Elan Valley trail was stunning. Other than that felt no need to venture forth when such a gorgeous spot here!"
